Willemstad (February 8, 2021) - The collective labour agreement (CLA) for UTS employees was officially signed between SITKOM and UTS management on Tuesday, February 2nd, 2021.
Against the backdrop of Covid-19, only a small group consisting of the UTS Management Team, SITKOM representatives and other members of the negotiations team were present for the signing.
“I wish to thank SITKOM for our sustained collaboration and the professional manner in which they handled the negotiations for this CLA,” said Danny Macaya, Country Manager for UTS, Dutch Caribbean.
The new CLA is applicable for UTS employees in the territories of Curaçao, Bonaire and Dutch St. Maarten.
“We reached out to our members in all territories to present to them what we have negotiated and accomplished for them and we are very pleased with the agreement,” said Mr. Cedric Isei, President of the union SITKOM which represents UTS employees.
The new CLA is retroactive effective January 1, 2020 and will last until December 31, 2022.
